Presentation Formats
Panels: Panel discussions are allocated 60 minute slots and presenters proposing a panel are encouraged to include speakers from several (perhaps even competing) companies and/or a neutral facilitator. Proposals must contain a clear description, as well as the names of invited panellists, presenters and moderators.
Plenary Presentations: These are presentations followed by questions from the audience. Usually plenary presentations are granted 30-minute slots. Proposals for these talks will only be considered if they contain draft presentation slides (slides may be updated at a later date).
Lightning Talks: These are short (10 to 15 minutes) presentations on a variety of topics. Slides may be used but they are not required. These presentations can be submitted at any time and are selected immediately before or during the event.
General submission guidelines
Presenters should indicate how much time they will require. Usually, 30-minute slots are granted for plenary presentations, 60-minute slots for panels and 10/15 minutes for Lightning Talks.
It is expected that most, if not all, presenters/panellists will be physically present at MENOG.
Submissions for MENOG 25 should be non-commercial, and product marketing talks are strongly discouraged. Repeated audience feedback shows that the most successful talks focus on operational experience, research results or case studies.
For example, presenters wishing to describe a commercial solution should focus on the underlying technology principles, algorithms, protocols, configuration, etc., rather than performing a full product demonstration.
Submit your proposal
Your proposals for plenary sessions must be submitted by 15 September 2025. Proposals submitted after this date will be considered on a space-available basis.
If you have any questions or requests concerning content submissions, please email the MENOG PC.
